Hope you are all enjoying the last of summer and are ready to start our meeting year.

Please note that out first meeting, always a Business meeting will be... Tuesday, Sept. 21, 6pm at Pizza Hut, Mineral Point Road,Madison.

We'll order off the menu, pay dues, ( still $25) and discuss the upcoming year. If you have friends who might like to join, feel free to bring them...the more, the merrier! If you'd like to rejoin but are unable to attend, please mail your check, made out to Marti Coursin, to 506 Blue Ridge Pky, Madison, Wi, 53705.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone !

The Madison Mounted Police welcome you to their first ACTHA ride.  All proceeds will go to benefit the Mounted Police Patrol to help pay for horses, equipment and training.  Visit Madison Mounted, the non-profit organization, at www.madisonmounted.org.

The Mounted Officers will be on patrol at the ride looking for "Wanted" bandits who may be attemping to rob riders along the trail.  So whether you want to be a Deputy Sheriff or a bandit, dress the part and watch for the bandits along the trail.

Endless Valley is located South of Spring Green and North of Dodgeville.  This amazing facility has over 35 miles of beautiful trails on 243 acres in a scenic private valley.  Rustic campsites are available and allow picket lines or portable corrals.  There are also electric sites closer to the barn.  Showers are available.  Campfires are permitted.  Inside stalls and paddocks are available to rent for horses.  Campsites, stalls or paddocks may be reserved by contacting Endless Valley at 608-753-2887.  See fee schedule below, payable at check in.

Check-in: Sunday morning before 9:30
Rider`s briefing: 10:00am
Ride out: 11:00am - Noon
Trail time: about 2 - 2 1/2 hours, 6-7 miles
Lunch: Available to take along or after ride.
Awards: 3p

Ride Information:
Entries limited to first 100. Great prizes for 1st - 6th place Open/Pleasure/Junior divisions. Voluntary $20 jackpot for open and pleasure division at check-in. Open, pleasure, junior, and buddy divisions. See the FAQ page for questions regarding the divisions.

Fees payable online:
• CTC entry fee - $58 pleasure/$58 open/$25 junior/$40 buddy
• New membership fee - $25 individual; $40 family of 2; $75 family of 4; additional horse - $10 ea.; additional rider - $10 ea.

Fees collected at check-in ( ie. meals, electrical hook ups and stall fees):
Rustic camp sites: $20
Elecric Site: $25 
Inside Stalls: $  15 per horse/night 
Paddock: $5
Trail Pass: $10 per rider, $5 if camping.

Endless Valley Stables Address: 5975 County Rd T, Spring Green, 53588
From Spring Green: South on Hwy 23, then left onto County T from about 2 miles.
From Dodgeville: North on Hwy 23, then right on county T for about 2 miles.
Negative Coggins must be provided before horses are unloaded.
Dogs must be leashed at all times.  No dogs on trail.

World Equestrian Games in Kentucky • September 25 - October 10, 2010 • Kentucky Horse Park

The World Equestrian Games are comprised of the world championships for eight equestrian sports- dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, jumping, para dressage, reining and vaulting. The Games are held every four years, two years prior to the Olympic Games, and are governed by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI). The FEI is the international governing body of equestrian sport recognized by the International Olympic Committee. It is the organization which establishes rules and regulations for the conduct of international equestrian events. Today the FEI has over 130 member countries.
